Customer Q&A
Can I purchase attachable drainboards for this unit for both the left and right sides? Also, what is the gallon per minute for this sink to determine grease trap requirements?
The John Boos 3B16204-X, can not accommodate attachable drainboards. However, John Boos does have sinks that already have drainboards welded to them. Here's (category link) our selection of John Boos 3 compartment sinks to review. The grease trap capacity would need to be around 30 pounds for the sink above. The GPM formula is: Multiply L x W x D of the sink bowls which = capacity of sink in cubic inches. Multiply that by the number of bowls. Divide that by 231. The "usable" sink capacity would be the GPM x 0.75. To get the flow rate in capacity (lbs), which can be helpful in selecting a grease trap, multiply the "usable GPM" by 2.
