Frymaster Commercial Gas & Electric Fryers
Frymaster started in 1935 in a Shreveport, Louisiana garage, when P.F. Ratcliff built an open-pot fryer that was easier to heat and easier to clean than the tube fryers of the day. He added the jet burner in 1938, put the Frymaster name on the machines in 1940, and incorporated The Frymaster Corporation in 1948. In 1958 Colonel Sanders chose Frymaster for KFC, the brand's first major chain account. Frymaster still designs and builds in Shreveport, now as a Welbilt brand in the Ali Group. At GoFoodservice, we offer Frymaster gas and electric fryers, oil filters, and oil handling equipment for restaurants, hotels, and quick-service kitchens.
- Open-pot gas fryers that recover heat fast and open the pot for daily boil-out instead of fighting around tubes
- Electric fryers for kitchens that cannot run gas, including high-volume batteries and single vats
- Multi-vat fryer batteries that gang several pots on one line so fries, chicken, and fish never share oil
- Built-in and mobile oil filtration in the Filter Magic tradition, so oil lasts longer and fries stay clean
- Fryer oil transporters and disposal units that move spent shortening off the line without a bucket brigade
- Fryer baskets and filter media sized to the pots we sell, so a replacement basket matches the vat it sits in
QSR and hotel kitchens buy Frymaster because the fryer has to recover between drops, not just look good in a cut sheet. An open pot, a working filter, and a cold zone that keeps crumbs out of the oil are what a Friday night fry station actually needs.
Filter Magic in 1971 and the later built-in filter cabinets exist for the same reason Ratcliff opened the pot: less downtime. Oil that gets filtered stays in the vat longer, and the fryer stays on the line instead of waiting on a portable filter.
