Carter-Hoffmann Food Holding & Transport Products

Carter-Hoffmann invented the heated banquet cart in 1947, built in Carter Hoffmann's Chicago metalworking shop for the Edgewater Beach Hotel, and has specialized in keeping food hot, safe, and moving ever since. A Middleby company since 2006, Carter-Hoffmann manufactures its holding and transport equipment in Mundelein, Illinois. At GoFoodservice, we offer a robust selection of Carter-Hoffmann equipment for hospitals, hotels, schools, and high-volume caterers.

Concession stands and quick-service counters use their merchandisers to keep impulse items hot and visible.
Nearly eighty years after building the first banquet cart, Carter-Hoffmann is still the specialist in the space between the kitchen and the guest.
